Our kaftan is inspired by gowns worn by many glamorous royalty. Made in Morocco from crepe that drapes beautifully, it has a satin tie-detailed high neck and wide sleeves, and a waterfall hem accented with sweeping fringe.
Designs are Inspired by the Maasai a Nilotic ethnic group inhabiting northern, central and southern Kenya and northern Tanzania. Who are famous and easily recognizable thanks to their traditional robe, the Shuka; it is a bright-colored cloth, predominantly red, wrapped around their lean and slender frames. Red is the most important color; symbolizing courage, bravery, and strength.
The Maasai also believe that red scares off predators like lions even at long distances.
